THE OWNERS ….

Laura & Craig Turner are the owners of Top Dog Kennels, LLC …

We grew-up with dogs and have had dogs all of our lives.  Over the years our dogs have grown from pets to full-fledged members of the family.

We have also led an active life that caused us to board our girls several times a year.  We had enjoyed having a 20+ year relationship with the boarding kennel that we used and were very pleased with the care and service that our girls received.  Then she retired and the kennel closed!

It quickly became clear that Cortland County and the surrounding area was dramatically under-served as it relates to quality pet boarding facilities.  

Hence, TOP DOG KENNELS was born in 2019.

We’ve brought our business management skills and love of dogs to TOP DOG KENNELS.  While our facilities are purpose-built and top notch, the customer service and care that we provide our customers (two and four-legged) is really what defines us!

As the years passed it was clear that we could do more for the pups in our care. Laura and Craig went “back to school” and became experts in ENRICHMENT and introduced enrichment activities to the facility … with an ENRICHMENT DAYCARE and ENRICHMENT Activities available to all boarding clients. We also took a clear look at what we provided our 4-legged guests and changed our name to better describe our facility ….

TOP DOG PET RESORT was born in 2025!

DESTINY

Destiny brings experience from her own basketball team of pets. She gets it done and loves these pups like her own!

Tailynn works both during the week and weekends for us …. bringing a love and infectious smile to everything she does!

HANNAH - Manager

A customer turned employee, and an employee turned manager! Hannah brings a real love for the pups and takes great care of both Laura and Craig as well as our cherished customers!
