Position Overview

We are seeking TWO Part-Time Kennel Attendants whose attitude and character come first. We can teach you dog-care skills; we can’t teach you to care.

Each ideal person is:

  • Genuinely kind and patient

  • Prompt, dependable, and willing to pitch in wherever needed

  • A true team player who takes pride in their work and the facility

Experience with dogs is helpful but not required. We will provide training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for dogs: feeding, watering, and monitoring their well-being

  • Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a safe, hygienic environment

  • Assist with supervised group play, walks, and enrichment activities

  • Observe dogs for signs of stress, illness, or unusual behavior and promptly report concerns

  • Greet owners in a friendly, professional manner and help with check-in/check-out

  • Follow all facility procedures and safety protocols

  • Support team members with miscellaneous tasks to keep the facility running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualities:

  • Positive, can-do attitude

  • Genuine love and respect for dogs and their owners

  • Reliability and punctuality

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to do physical, sometimes messy work

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and accept feedback

  • Honesty, integrity, and good judgment

Preferred (But Not Required):

  • Prior experience working with dogs (kennel, daycare, vet clinic, shelter, etc.)

  • Comfort handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments

Physical & Schedule Requirements

  • Ability to be on your feet for most of the shift

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (food bags, dogs, cleaning supplies, etc.)

  • Comfortable working in a sometimes noisy, active environment

  • Availability for part-time shifts, including some evenings, weekends and holidays
